Towson University Green Initiatives

Towson University is dedicated to fostering a sustainable, environmentally responsible campus. We’ve already reduced our carbon impact through a state-of-the art single-stream recycling program, green construction projects and a new composting initiative. Our commitment has even earned us national recognition in the Princeton Review’s Guide to 286 Green Colleges. But climate neutrality can’t be achieved through institutional practices alone. We need your help—whether you volunteer in the student veggie garden, rent an e-book or bring a bike to campus in lieu of a car, the small steps you take to reduce your daily impact add up to an enormous reduction in campus carbon emissions. Towson’s making great strides toward climate neutrality. What will you do? Find out more at the Go Green website.
