Deadline: August 20

On-Campus Resident Students
Freshman on-campus residents (resident students with less
than 30 completed units) will be eligible to obtain a limited number of West
Village Resident permits. Individuals who are unable to obtain a parking
permit and have a vehicle on campus may be subject to parking citations,
towing and referral to the Office of Student Conduct and Civility Education.
Off-Campus/Commuting Students
If you are planning to live off campus, please visit the
Parking and Transportation website, http://parking.towson.edu, and click on
Buy Permit Now to purchase a permit as soon as they go on sale
over the summer. Review the parking regulations to make sure you understand
where your parking areas are located and obtain your permit prior to the
first day of classes. Permit sales are expected to begin in early June.
General Parking Information
All vehicles parked on campus from 6 a.m.–8 p.m.,
Monday–Thursday, and 6 a.m.–3 p.m. on Friday must have a valid Towson
University parking permit or must use a designated visitor or metered
parking space. Parking regulations are in effect to help ensure safe and
adequate parking for the entire campus community. Vehicles parked in
violation of regulations may be issued a citation.
Review the parking regulations to make sure you understand
where your parking areas are located.
Permits must be purchased online at the
Parking and Transportation website.
Your license plate is used to verify that you have a valid
parking permit and you will not receive a physical permit to display. You
must ensure you update your parking account to include your correct license
plate.
You may only register a vehicle that is registered through the MVA to you or
a family member at the same address. You may not add a vehicle that belongs
to another student or faculty or staff member. Only one vehicle listed on
your account may be parked on campus at a time.
Parking regulations are subject to change. To view the
current regulations, visit the Parking and Transportation website at
http://parking.towson.edu.
Permits are not required in most lots on weekends or on
official university holidays when the campus is closed. Signs at each lot
will indicate restrictions.
If your vehicle is not registered in the state of Maryland,
the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration requires the purchase of a
Nonresident Permit for vehicles registered in other states when the driver
of the vehicle is a student attending a school in Maryland. As a
convenience, students can purchase Nonresident Permits at the Auxiliary
Services Business Office in the University Union 110. Students must bring a
photocopy of their driver’s license, student ID and vehicle registration
card.
