Applying for Financial Aid
All financial aid will be administered by CCBC. Financial aid includes:
- Grants
- Private, state and institutional scholarships
- Student loans
- Alternative and Parent PLUS loans
All students are strongly encouraged to complete the Free
Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) located online
at www.fafsa.ed.gov. If you have already submitted FAFSA,
you must go online to direct your application to CCBC (Code
#002063). Please visit the CCBC website for additional financial aid
information or call Barry Amos at 443-840-3088.
Additional information you should know:
- If you have received a Maryland State Scholarship, grant or private
scholarship, you must contact the Maryland Higher Education
Commission (MHEC) at 1-800-974-0203 or the awarding organization
to advise them that you are changing institutions and to redirect your
funds to CCBC.
- Your financial aid award may not cover the total cost of your
educational expenses. We encourage your parents to apply for a Parent
Plus Loan to pay for educational costs not covered by other forms of
financial aid. You may also want to consider applying for a student
loan. CCBC will notify you with loan application information.
- CCBC will inform Towson of anticipated financial aid once the financial
aid verification process is complete.
- All aid must be complete and finalized by the middle of July. Any
remaining balance after anticipated financial aid must be paid in full by
August 2.
- The program coordinator will deliver financial aid refunds to the Towson
Bursar’s Office to be endorsed by students. The disbursement of aid is
based on CCBC’s federal financial aid regulations. Student loans are
processed in two disbursements: the first one is processed 30 days after
the start of the semester, and the second disbursement is processed at
the midway point of the semester. All Parent PLUS loans will be mailed
home to your parent(s) as they must be endorsed.
