Use your OneCard off campus

TU ID card now accepted at local restaurants, convenience stores

TOWSON, Md. (April 1, 2008)—Towson University’s OneCard is now available for use at off-campus locations. At a ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday, TU President Robert L. Caret joined County Executive Jim Smith in introducing the off-campus meal program, which allows students, faculty and staff to use their cards’ retail points to purchase food, non-alcoholic drinks and other common goods.

Dozens of Towson merchants are expected to add to the more than 130 on-campus locations that currently accept the OneCard. Charter merchants A Taste of Philly, Bill Bateman’s, Burger Brothers, CVS, Jerry’s Subs and Pizza, and Ridgely & Ferrens Market began accepting the OneCard a week ago.

Towson partnered with industry-leading ID-card company Cbord/Off Campus Advantage to seamlessly integrate a secure off-campus program with the university’s existing system. OneCard users must opt-in to use the program, and merchants will have access to only information that is necessary to complete transactions.
