Event will feature a silent auction, buffet dinner, and performances of pop and jazz standards

TOWSON, Md. (April 1, 2011)—Towson University’s College of Health Professions will host a “Celebration of Life" concert on Sunday, April 3 from 3-6 p.m. in the University Union Potomac Lounge.

The event will feature a buffet dinner, silent auction and performance by Debbie Miller and Gary Rubin, who will sing a selection of songs from Broadway and the Classics with the accompaniment of pianist Brent Hardesty.

All proceeds will benefit the TU Center for Adults with Autism, designed to assist young adults on the autism spectrum in leading productive and fulfilling lives as integrated members of their communities. The center supports education for professionals who serve this population, offers and evaluates models for programs and services, supports applied research by faculty and students, and provides links between community and academic resources.

Tickets are $35, $15 of which is tax deductible. To purchase tickets or to make a donation to the center, call 410-704-3375 or visit the event website.
