Lavender Seniors Celebration and LGBTQA Recognition Event

The Lavender Seniors Celebration & LGBTQA Recognition Event is held in celebration and recognition of the important contributions LGBTQA students have made to enhance the LGBTQA community here at TU and honor our graduating seniors.

At Towson University, the Lavender Seniors Celebration & LGBTQA Recognition Event is the LGBT Student Development Program & LGBT Studies Program’s culminating event of the academic year. We invite speakers, campus administrators/faculty/staff, alumni, parents/families of graduates and the LGBTQA student body to attend a recognition banquet, honoring of our graduating seniors, and end-of-the- year celebration.

Many LGBTQA students struggle through their college years while dealing with the various obstacles involved in the coming out experience, many never having the experience of their university or college celebrating who they are as LGBTQA members of the campus community.
