Message from the Founder

It has been my honor to direct the President's Leadership Institute since 2004. Each year, I have the privilege of working with dozens of faculty and staff members who are selected for the class. Leadership Institute members commit their time, energy, ideas, and enthusiasm to the program and come away with leadership skills, expanded university contacts, and friends that last a lifetime.

It is always gratifying to witness the teamwork and bonding that result from the challenging case studies and discussions. But it isn't all work! Current members join with program alumni for networking lunches, athletic games, and volunteer projects. The President's Leadership Institute enables faculty and staff to forge a strong connection to Towson University, their co-workers, and all the communities we serve as an institution.

Each year at program's end, I wonder who really learns the most, and I always seem to have the same answer -- all of us!
