Letter from Program Director Tom Casciero

Hi folks,

I will not be running the Silver Penny Summer Theatre Program this year. After 7 years of success, I’m going to hang up my Silver Penny hat and take some well-deserved time for new professional and personal pursuits. It’s been a wonderful experience and I’m proud of the programs that we’ve produced and the people who created them. It feels a bit strange to end the program, but at the same time it feels so right.

To help you make this transition, I will post a list of other summer and year round theatre programs on our website. Since I do not have direct experience of many of these programs, I cannot speak to their quality or value. As such, please research them on your own. I’d also encourage you to use the Baltimore’s Child website, February camp issue, and March camp fair as a resource.

I want to thank each of you for your patronage, your wonderful children, and your warm smiles. The support, service, and kindness that you have given to me and to my staff will never be forgotten.

All of us here at Silver Penny send our heart felt gratitude and wish you well in all that you do in the future. We ask you to remember that art nourishes the soul and artists nourish the society. So go out and make a change by making art.
