Spring Break Trips

New York City

During the spring break week, the International Student and Scholar Office often organizes a day trip to the Big Apple (New York City). The charter bus leaves Towson University at 7 a.m. from the University Union loading dock. Approximately three and a half hours later, the bus arrives in New York City. Students and scholars are free to explore the city on their own, or accompany the group chaperone for a full day of sightseeing and shopping.

Throughout the trip, students are able to see the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Wall Street, Times Square, Ground Zero, Rockefeller Center, and Radio City Music Hall. They also have the opportunity to go shopping and enjoy lunch at one of the many ethnic restaurants the city has to offer. Last year's group saw Robin Williams while in line at the Starbucks in Times Square and Lenny Kravitz at St. Patrick's Cathedral.

If you are interested in attending this trip, or have a trip idea that you would like to see organized, please contact Scott Pierson at spierson@towson.edu.
