Mission
The Towson University Office of Institutional Research (IR) is responsible for developing and disseminating management information, conducting research studies and providing analytical support and technical services required for university planning, policy formulation and decision making. IR is part of the Academic Resources and Planning unit of the Provost's Office.
Three broadly defined categories of activities summarize most of the tasks performed in fulfilling its mission:
