Our Students

 

Annelise Johnson comes to Towson with a Bachelor of Science Degree in History. She chose the Master of Social Science to advance her knowledge of American nationalism through a mutli-disciplinary approach.

Rahila Abdubakar comes to Towson with a

B.S. C. in International Studies. She has joined the Master of Social Science Program to specialize in the Global Analysis track for a future position working in areas such as homeland security or international institutions.

Bram Van Loon comes to Towson from Belgium with a B.S. degree in Political Science and International Relations. He chose the Master of Social Science Program because it offers a complete range of classes in history, economics, politics, and anthropology. He has chosen the Global Analysis track as his area of specialty to pair social science research methods with his multi-lingual background.

Robert Zimmerman comes to Towson with a

Bachelor of Science in History. He is interested in the Middle East and has chosen the Global Analysis track to prepare for a career in education.

Samson K. Ndanyi is an international student at Towson visiting from Kenya. As an undergraduate he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electronic media and film productions. He is working on a thesis which examines Kenyan economic centralization.

Nathan Perry graduated from Salisbury University

with an undergraduate degree in History and a minor in Secondary Education. he chose the Master of Social Science Program for its interdisciplinary approach to subject content. He wishes to apply this apprach as a secondary school teacher.

Hugh Weigel earned his first degree in Psychology. He chose the Master of Social Science Program in order to further a career in the field of International Relief. Hugh's research focuses on contemporary issues in Africa. He plans on traveling to South Africa for research this summer with Anthropology professor, Matthew Durrington.

Holly Turner joined us after gaining valuable

experience as a volunteer assisting in reconstruction efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. She chose Towson's program because she loves the diversity of all the Social Sciences. She hopes to combine her study and volunteer experiences to embark on a career with the U.S. Government or a non-profit organization.

Carina Pedersen is an international student from Denmark. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication concentrating on advertising. She is in the Global Anyalysis concentration. Carina's research focuses on environmental policies in China and East Asia. She chose this program because she likes the ability to advance her knowledge of all the Social Sciences. She also chose this program because of the ability to tailor the program to her interests. She hopes to one day work within the environmental field, pehaps in China because the country is currently suffering from the consequences of rapid economic expansion.

Nichole Wright comes to Towson with a B.A. in

English concentrating on Journalism, which is her current profession. She chose the Master of Social Science Program because of an interest in both History and Geography. This degree will allow her to take courses in both disciplines, while still being able to call on her undergraduate concentration.
