CAREERS IN JEWISH STUDIES

A minor in Jewish studies combined with an appropriate major can prepare students for employment in a variety of Jewish agencies and for general human resources positions. Some career options include the following:

• Educator — Jewish day schools and college level teaching

• Social worker — Jewish Family Services and other human resource agencies

• Journalist — The Baltimore Jewish Times and numerous national Jewish publications

• Fund-raiser — Associated Jewish Charities and other charitable organizations

• Curator — Jewish Museum of Maryland

• Counseling — Jewish Vocational Services
