Honors College Student Council: HCSC
Honors College Students Create Community, Promote Leadership
Every Honors student is part of HCSC. Each term, HCSC holds an open forum with Honors College administrators to discuss the term's calender, events, deadlines, projects and goals. The purpose to HCSC is threefold:
- To advise the Honors College administration and the Honors Advisory Council on Honors Student issues
- To assist in the pallning and execution of select Honors academic, cultural, and social events
- To promote and foster community and peer-support among Honors College Students
Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:15 pm in Richmond Commons. The meeting dates are: September 10th, October 8th, November 12th, and December 10th.

Description of Officer Positions and Examples of Duties:
- President: Organizes HCSC as a whole, conducts meetings, reserves University services for events, (transportation, food, room requests, parking, etc.) meets all SGA due dates, (i.e. budget, waiver forms, rosters, etc.) and much more!
- Vice President: Assists the President, fills in when/if the President is absent.
- Secretary: Records meeting minutes and submits them to Involved@TU and to the SGA.
- Treasurer: Attends SGA budget meetings to learn the student group budgeting process, creates the group budget in accordance to all the SGA standards, attends meetings to revise the budget, attends the SGA budget hearing each semester, fills out forms to take out money group needs for events, handles all reimbursement and money transactions.
- Media Relations: Advertises all HCSC events; organizes poster making, chalking; submits ads to Daily Digest and the Towerlight; creates and distributes flyers.
- Stewardship Coordinator: Organizes the planning of all community service events for the group, contacts community areas where HSCS is interested in volunteering.
