Please write a paragraph response to the following questions. All responses will be posted on the web:
1) Describe your involvement with Hillel.
I am in the JAC for lunch a few days a week. I have gotten to know Ken, Stephanie and Ronen as well as all the other students who are regularly active in Hillel. In my first year at Towson I have been involved in as many Hillel sponsored events as I was able.
2) Why do you want to be on the Hillel board?
I would like to plan social events that would get more Jewish students involved in Hillel who otherwise would be disinterested. I would also like to spearhead activities that would garner more excitement from the students who are already active.
3) Why do you feel you would be good for the position that you are running for?
I believe I would be a good choice for Social Chair because I have many ideas for activities, I have always done my best to try to get people involved in activities and I have gained the experience needed to implement these ideas.
4) What do you hope to accomplish during your year on the Hillel board?
I would like to have fun and would like to help make the year fun for everybody else. I would like to meet new people. I would like to work with the FYSH Chair to help ensure the incoming freshmen feel more welcomed. I would like to plan more events in which we meet students from other area schools. I would like to see that anybody who has an idea for an event gets heard.
5) Describe previous programming experience that you have had with Hillel.
I have not had any programming experience with Hillel, per se. As Vice Prior of Sigma Alpha Mu it has been my duty to be the driving force behind all the events my fraternity plans. I have, in this capacity, cosponsored events with Hillel.
