Jewish Resources on Campus Towson University is a great campus for Jewish students. There are over 1500 Jewish students on campus, a kosher dining hall, Hillel lounge, Jewish studies minor and a vast array of Jewish programming. Kosher Dining: All students are able to eat from the kosher dining as a part of their meal plan. Kosher meals are served lunch and dinner Monday through Friday. The kosher dining is under Star K supervision. Hillel Lounge: Otherwise known as the Jewish Activities Center (JAC) our lounge is a comfortable environment away from home. Students often bring their food into the lounge to eat, study, do informal learning, and just relax. Our lounge has recently been updated to include an X-Box, hammock, and foosball table. Jewish Studies Minor: Available through Interdisciplinary Studies, the Jewish Studies minor gives students a chance to explore the history of the Jewish people, learn Hebrew, and gain an understanding of the culture and literature. This is an expanding program that provides many academic opportunities for students in and out of the classroom. Jewish Programming: Hillel is the umbrella group for social, cultural, religious, educational, and Israel programs on campus. Hillel provides Shabbat and High Holiday services and dinners for the entire campus. We are committed to providing leadership development and education about Israel to all of our students.
