Throughout my first two semesters at Towson University, I have been quite active in the Hillel on campus. I frequently attend Friday night Shabbat services, Saturday morning Shabbat activities and FYSH events. My feeling is that because of my avid interest in Shabbat services and my understanding of what things work and which do not, I would be a good fit for the position of Shabbat chair. Shabbat is something I take extremely seriously, but I also realize that there might be some things that work for me during a Shabbat service that others may not be comfortable with. Catering to the needs of everyone is something I realize needs to be done and would definitely be at the top of my list of priorities.

One other reason I am interested in running for Shabbat chair is due to my background in Judaism. I attended a Jewish day school throughout my grade school career. Judaism has been an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember. It would be a privilege and an honor to take my knowledge and love for Judaism and use it to make Hillel even stronger. Thank you very much.
