Hillel of Greater Baltimore Grants
Student Creativity Grants
Hillel's Creativity Grants Committee exists to supoort and
stimulate new student-initiated projects that will enhance Jewish life on the
college campuses in Baltimore. Comprised of students and communtiy volunteers,
the committee awards grants and allocates funds for an array of quality projects
that extend beyond traditional Jewish programming. The committee hopes that
these funds will empower students to develop programs that originally may have
been beyond their reach. The committee also awards subsidies for students to
attend conferences that have a Jewish component in their agenda. Proposals,
program, and evaluations must be initiated, written, and developed by students.
One-time and ongoing projects will be considered. These grant opportunities are
available to indiviadual students and student organiztions. The commitee has
awarded over 100 grants to date.
Spontaneity Grants for $250
Encouragement Grants for $1500

The committee is unable to fund all of the proposals it receives. If a
grant proposal is approved it may be approved for partial funding. Upon the

awarded immediately. The remaining funds will be awarded only following the
completion of the project and the return of the Grant Evaluation Report. All
fliers, newspaper articiles, brochures, and othe publicity must accompany the
evaluation. Each must visibly state that funding for the project has been made
possible by the Student Creativity Grants of Hillel of Greater Baltimore
There will be four rounds of Encouragement Grant applications. Decisions will be
announced two weeks following the deadline. No program fees will be funded
retroactively, and there must be enough time for the programs to be carried out
in a timely manner. Proposals must be received at the Hillel of Greater
