Health Care Management Professional Organizations

Professional organizations and honor societies can provide both educational and professional resources for health care management majors.

The Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA) sets the educational standards for the Health Care Management program which undergoes a certification process every six years. In Fall 2008, the Board of Directors of AUPHA approved full certification of Towson University's Health Care Management undergraduate program until 2014.

Since the undergraduate HCMN program is a Full Certified member of AUPHA, HCMN students have access to a free online subscription to Modern Healthcare and Modern Physician trade magazines for the duration of their enrollment at TU. This is a great way to easily keep abreast of the current issues in healthcare across the US. To access your subscription, complete the short form on their website.

The Upsilon Phi Delta Honor Society is to further the professional competence and dedication of the individual members in and for the profession of healthcare management.
