Planetarium Program to offer look at

seasonal constellations

 

We may be looking earthward these days for the crocuses that herald the arrival of spring. But as the Vernal Equinox approaches, Elmer Kreisel thinks we'd do well to look up.

 

The shift from winter to spring is evident in the night skies, says Kreisel, Department of Physics, Astronomy & Geosciences, who adds that the Vernal Equinox once marked the beginning of the year for ancient cultures.  

So if you're seriously seeking spring, head to Smith Hall on March 19 for an out-of-this-world experience:

Admission is free and open to all.
