Baltimore, meet Nashville: Johnny Hiland treats reporters to his hybrid “blazing chicken pickin'” style at the Hard Rock Café during last week's World Guitar Congress news conference. The tuneful event launched TU's promotional efforts on behalf of the June 2-9 congress, to be held on campus and at Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. Hiland will be among 50 or so professional guitarists participating.
