Complaint Procedure

Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Towson University policy prohibit discrimination on the basis of disability.

If you believe you have been discriminated against because of your disability, or if you have a complaint regarding disability accommodations or services, you should notify the Director of DSS.  The Director will schedule a meeting and respond to your complaint within ten working days.  If the complaint is not resolved at this level, or if the complaint includes the Director of DSS, the student should follow Towson University complaint procedures available at the Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity.   The complete text of  “Towson University Policy Prohibiting Discrimination of the Basis of Race, Color, Religion, Age, National Origin, Sex and Disability” is available online.
