Our teachers facilitate "active inquiry based learning" in a developmentally appropriate environment for young children and their families.
Our program promotes the physical, cognitive, linguistic, nutritional, social and emotional development in an environment which prides itself on the caring and nurturing of our children and families. We focus on supporting the positive development of the 'whole' child and approaching each student as a unique, respected, and capable individual. Creating secure and long-term attachments between students and their teachers is of utmost importance.
Our 5 experienced and highly qualified Lead teachers, have Masters degrees, and are credentialledl with the Maryland State Department of Education. Four of our teachers are Certified with teaching licensure from Maryland State Department of Education to teach early childhood. All Leads are CPR and First Aid trained.
Our philosophy is inspired by the work in Reggio Emilia and by Maria Montessori. Our STEM based and arts integration provide a wealth of individualised programming.
We utilize the Creative Curriculum, PLT nature curriculum, Growing Up Wild, and The Project Based Approach. We are also a site for the Ready at Five literacy curriculum - VIOLETS.
We accept families from Towson University as Students, Faculty, Staff and Alumni. We also invite families from the community to become a part of our school.
