Earned a B.A. in Theatrical Design and Production from Towson State University and has been designing lights, stage and production managing for dance, opera, and music productions on stage and television in the Washington/Baltimore Area for the past ten years in such venues as the Kennedy Center, Lyric Opera House, Theatre Project, Center Stage, Baltimore Museum of Art, and Town Hall in NYC. A short listing of her light designs includes: Martha Graham’s “Panorama”, David Parson’s “Sleep Study", Peter Pucci’s “Sing”, Mark Taylor’s “Words of Love”, Geoffrey Holder’s “Dougla”, Douglas Graham’s “Sing, Sing, Sing”, “Giselle”, “Nutcracker”, and “Les Sylphides”. Currently Ms. Sorensen serves as the Performance Coordinator/Lighting Designer for the Towson University Department of Dance and is the Production Manager/Lighting Designer for Rincones & Company Dance Theater in Washington, D.C.
