Recruitment for: Data Management Support Specialist (Computer Information Services Specialist)
Salary: $17.79 per hour – 24 to 40 hours per week
Closing Date: OPEN UNTIL FILLED
Job Description: The selected candidate will provide a variety IT support duties such as those related to databases, network administration, PC hardware/software, and agency websites.
Work Location: Sykesville, MD (Southern Carroll County) near Springfield Hospital Center.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: One year of experience evaluating, implementing and maintaining microcomputer hardware and software.
NOTE: Preference will be given to candidates who have computer science or related bachelor’s degrees and/or have completed technical certification programs.
Examples of Duties:
Provide computer network support via TCP/IP protocols, troubleshooting utilities and physical layer support; PC configuration including Windows NT, Windows 2000 Pro and Windows XP; offer at least limited agency website support via HTML protocol; contribute to database security system administration including authentication, certificates, encryption and access control systems; provide maintenance/support of proprietary data management systems; configuration and operation of automatic back-up systems. Knowledge of server administration in UNIX and Windows environments considered a plus.
