Our office is currently recruiting for a full-time position through our Outstanding Scholar program. More specifically, the position we are looking to fill would be working on our Budget and Performance Integration Team. The position requires an individual with a balance of information technology and business/budgeting skills. One of our employees is a recent graduate of your school and he has a nice blend of both systems and budgeting skills that enable him to work with (and program) our budgeting system and databases, as well as explain the mechanics of these systems to management personnel who can be less technically literate.
The Outstanding Scholar program does require that applicants have completed their undergraduate education with a 3.45 GPA or above -- however, I believe I have some leeway in the GPA requirement. The candidate selected would enter into the Federal Government at a GS-7 level, currently $35,000 with the strong potential of moving to a GS-9 level after a year ($43,000) and the GS-11 salary after 2 years ($52,000).
