Running Music

I spent first 22 years of my life watching Danube flowing toward the Black Sea. Through a constant stream of its (not so much) "blue" water, I was linked to people from five different countries. I shared the river but at the same time was very content to enjoy only my part of it.

Similarly to Danube that runs ceaselessly, Running Music comes from an unknown distance and gradually spreads into many directions. During this revolving journey, it takes some region-specific (Balkan) aural and visual shapes and textures, purposely resurfacing to our attention only three times. The performersí attempts to "encase" the sound are fruitless and paradoxically liberating; they eliminate all borders between the visible and audible elements.

We are surrounded by Music. Running surrounds us.
