The

Music Ensemble
at Towson University

13, 2010, the
New Music Ensemble co-sponsored an event with the Department of
Music at Towson
University to
present The Kingdom of Drums and
Bells: The
Music ofPulitze Prize-winning composer Michael Colgrass
The program, produced by Towson faculty member Patrick Roulet, featured Sara Nichols, flute; Megan Fergusson, viola, Patrick Roulet,
percussion, and the Towson University
Percussion Faculty Quartet with
guest percussionist Bill Solomon.
The program included Percussion
Music, Variations for Four
Drums and Viola, and A Flute
in the Kingdom of
Drums and Bells.
Before the
concert Michael Colgrass presented a guest composer talk beginning at
7:30 PM.

Unfortunately, due to
budget shortfalls
resulting from economic conditions, the Ensemble was unable to
present a winter or spring concert during 20010-2011.
