1. A main page with your name and links to the other items on your site. Each linked page must also contain a link back to this main page.
2. A Linked page with two entries from your required listening journal covering one work each by two of the principal composers presented in the second half of the course (post midterm). These composers are to be selected from the required listening list.
3. A link to one audio (not midi) sound file generated by you that is present in your web site file folder (you own it). This will require a digital recording of you or a friend or a recorded dub excerpt that complies with copyright fair use limitations. See this copyright link to learn about fair use of copyrighted materials. This could be as simple as you saying "hello" or more elaborate. It's up to you but keep it short.
4. An external link to one midi sequence file (not audio) found on the internet that relates to your two journal entries in some way. This relation can be as loose as you need to find a usable midi file. You must use a link to the files on the internet with clear citation of the sources and not insert a copy of the file in your web site folder (you don't own it).
5. An external link to at least two sound file locations found on the internet that relate to your two composers. You must use a link to the files on the internet with clear citations of the sources and not insert copies of the files in your web site folder (you don't own them).
6. External Links to photographs at other locations on the internet of both composers linked to from your composers page. Pictures must differ from the ones linked to from the course online materials. You must use a link to the images on the internet with clear citation of the sources and not insert a copy of the photographs. For numbers 4-6, links to the external source should show the name and address of the linked-to material clearly next to or under the link itself. The citations should show the user where he/she will be linked to before clicking the ling and include the web address (URL) of the link and the name of the linked page and author if available. The link should take the user to the original context and not directly to the MIDI, audio, or image content itelf.
7. At least one other scanned graphic file of an image generated by you and owned by you (not a copyrighted image, page from a score, etc.) and placed on one of your pages on the site (you own it). |
