Minutes from General Meeting, Tuesday, November 6, 2007

All 4 Committee members were present
18 people attended
 

-Co-Organizer, Heather Kangas began the meeting by asking everyone to put their Towson ID's on the sign-in sheet because rosters are due at the end of this semester.

-Co-Organizer, Sean Lawlor then announced that the South Asian Student Organization will be throwing a party in the Potomac Lounge from 8:00 to 12:00. He then reminded the group that two members of the Catonsville Nine will be speaking on campus. These are remarkable people so everyone should try to take time to see them. He also reminded people that we will be co sponsoring a debate with the Central Baltimore County Democratic Club in the Susquehanna Terrace in December.

-Heather then announced that one of our members, Jessi Baroody, has her own TV show and she is looking for people to be on it. See Heather for more details about this.

-Bryon Burzynski then announced that the College Greens will be showing "Iron Wall" on the 7th at 7:00. Kevin Zeese will also be speaking.

-Greg Mazur then spoke about a a new group focusing on animal rights. More information on this is to come.

-Then elections for the new treasurer were held. Both Liz Lacoco and  Melanie Losover gave their speeches. Secretary Rachel Alexander handed out blank sheets of paper, collected them, and then counted the vote. Congratulations to Melanie Losover for winning the position.

The organization then divided into Committees.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:00 pm. The next one is scheduled for November 13, 2007.
