About.com (formerly "The Mining Company") is a search engine that we have used frequently. One very nice feature of the About.com site is the specific site for education and education searching About.com has a person that manages different parts of its sites and they have both a K-6 and Secondary site for searching. To go to the main About.com site for education:
http://home.about.com/education/index.htm

For K-6, go to
http://k-6educators.about.com/education/k-6educators/mbody.htm
