Please read the following to help you prepare for your graduate program.1. Contact and meet with your designated advisor. The two of you will complete an approved program of study and discuss course selections. 2. Complete and return the Essential Dispositions Survey and the Professional Experience & Goals form. Your self-assessment is a requirement of the program and helps the program determine graduate students’ perceptions and needs. 3. Contact the Towson University Graduate Office (410-704-2501) to obtain the current graduate catalog. The catalog contains the latest policies and course descriptions for your program. 4. Secure your Towson University graduate student identification card and parking materials. These are available at the Towson University Union Building Auxiliary Services Office (410-704-2530). 5. Access the M.Ed. ELED program website at http://wwwnew.towson.edu/coe/eled/grad/ for the latest information on program requirements, available courses, and semester newsletters. 6. Purchase a copy of the American Psychological Association Publication Manual (5th Edition) for graduate program coursework and as a reference for writing. The text may be purchased through the University Bookstore, at local bookstores, or through online bookstores. 7. Budget between $150 and $200 per course for textbooks and instructional materials. Textbooks may be purchased through the bookstore or through online booksellers. 8. Assistance for graduate students is available through the Towson University Graduate Research and Writing Center.
