College Libertarians of Towson Press Release

FREE VIEWING OF TEAM AMERICA: WORLD POLICEBALTIMORE, Maryland – There will be a free public viewing of the film Team America: World Police, hosted by the College Libertarians of Towson (CLT). This viewing will take place on Wednesday, October 26th, from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM, in room 238 of the Lecture Hall. Free food will be provided. All Towson University students and faculty are invited to attend. There will be an open discussion following the film. Team America: World Police is a film made in 2004 by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of the hit television series on Comedy Central: South Park. Trey Parker is a registered member of the Libertarian Party. The Libertarian Party opposes interventionism, both foreign and domestic. It therefore also opposes the war in Iraq. Team America: World Police is a satire that pokes fun at the war. The film takes pot-shots at persons on both the Left- and Right-Wings. The College Libertarians of Towson meet on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM in room 316 of the University Union. # # # |
