On May 22, 2008, the College of Liberal Arts will
celebrate the academic achievement of students who will be graduating
with Honors at the CLA Awards Recognition Convocation in Stephens
Hall at 10 a.m.
Towson University awards Latin Honors to students who,
over seven semesters, have demonstrated a high degree of intellectual
engagement and achieved a cumulative grade point average of:
-
3.75 to 4.00: Summa Cum Laude (With Highest Honor)*
-
3.55 to 3.74: Magna Cum Laude (With High Honor)*
-
3.40 to 3.54: Cum Laude (With Honor)*
We are inviting all students, majoring in a Liberal Arts
discipline, who have demonstrated
academic excellence, to the CLA Awards Recognition Convocation. The
Convocation will celebrate the achievement of Honors graduates, as
well as faculty who have been recognized by students and their peers for
their exceptional teaching. Faculty who will retire at the end of this
semester will also be honored.
We encourage you to invite family to join you at the
Convocation. You are requested to assemble in Stephens Hall at 9
am in Room 310 in your cap and gown.
You and your guests are also invited to a lunch reception
immediately following the convocation ceremony in Stephens Hall outside
of the Stephens Hall Theater.
Congratulations on your achievement!
