"THIS ONE'S FOR YOU" BENEFIT CONCERT FEATURING GARY RUBIN

Center for the Arts, Recital Hall

Thursday, June 19, 7:30 p.m.      

                                 

Gary will perform a selection of tunes that include: Foggy Day in London Town, It’s My Life, Always on My Mind, Come Fly With Me, If I Ruled the World, For Once in My Life and more.  Maryland pianist Brent Hardesty will accompany him.

National Dance Education Organization

NATIONAL DANCE EDUCATION ORGANIZATION DANCE CONCERT

The National Dance Education Organization (NDEO) 2008 conference celebrates its 10th anniversary by presenting a professional dance concert featuring adjudicated works by Maryland professional dance artists. The concert includes diverse programming featuring Towson University faculty and the NDEO resident company and The Master Artist Concert Series for dance artists over the age of 50.

Philadelphia Meets Baltimore:  Conceptions and Perceptions

Center for the Arts Gallery

On display from July 10 to August 2. Opening reception: Saturday, July 12, 1-3 p.m.

Gallery Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

Philadelphia area artists: Neil Anderson, Charles Burwell, Alice Oh, Tim McFarlane, and Thomas Vance.

Baltimore area artists: Seth Adelsberger, Karin Birch, Ellen Burchenal, Lawrence Cromwell, Kay Hwang, Michelle Kong, and Michael Weiss.

Curator:  J. Susan Isaacs


This exhibition concentrates on the “new” abstraction taking place in Philadelphia and Baltimore seen in paintings, fibers, and sculpture.
