Who is my adviser?

You can find out who your adviser is after logging into Online Services.

Once you are in Online Services, go to SA Self Service>Learner Services>Academics>View My Adviser
If you don't see an adviser assigned, visit your intended major concentration department.

How do I make an appointment to meet with my adviser?

Either an e-mail or a phone call is the best way to contact your adviser. To find out your adviser’s information, use the TU Directory and enter your adviser’s last and first names. Your adviser's office location, phone and e-mail (e-mail is accessed by clicking the More Info box) is available in the Directory.

How should I prepare for my appointment with my faculty adviser?

  1. Please bring a copy of a completed advising form using the information from your Degree Progress Report. If you are a transfer student, you should also bring a copy of your Evaluation of Transfer Credit Report, any petitions to accept courses transferred in as part of your degree requirements, and your semester-by-semester plan of courses.

        2.  Become familiar with your program requirements, course prerequisites and course

             sequencing as listed in the current catalog and on the CBE Web site.

             Tip: Keep all of your advising materials in your Advising Portfolio.

How do I complete my BUAD advising form?

Students have the option to use the following tutorials for assistance:

  1. PowerPoint Presentation With Voice – Guides students through each step in completing the advising form.
  2. Document – Shows students a step-by-step process to filling out the advising form.
