Beta alpha psi recognizes tu chapter, iota zeta

The Towson University chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, Iota Zeta, was presented with the Distinguished Chapter award for 2007-2008. Iota Zeta is among four recipients to receive the recognition among 54 chapters within the Mid-Atlantic region.
"The Iota Zeta [chapter] has far exceeded the minimum requirements of Beta Alpha Psi, and has excelled in the areas of academics, professionalism and leadership," Nancy Nichols, president of Beta Alpha Psi, said in a letter addressed to CBE Dean Shohreh Kaynama.
Beta Alpha Psi is an honorary organization for students and professionals specializing in financial information.

TU's chapter hosted financial professionals from RSM McGladrey, SB and Company, KPMG, Deloitte & Touche, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Stout, Causey & Horning to discuss topics including external auditing, tax and audit, positions in accounting, the CPA exam, and internal controls.
Members also volunteered with other area chapters to pack over 1,400 emergency food packages for hungry families in Maryland at the Maryland Food Bank.
