2008 Towson University BAND DAY Registration Form

The Towson University TIGER Marching Band is proud to announce the 2008 Towson University BAND DAY. This year's event will be held on Saturday, September 27th at the Towson vs. Columbia University football game in Johnny Unitas Stadium on the Towson University campus. This is our 4th year hosting this growing and successful event. We would love to include your students in a halftime massed band performance that will number 1,000 participants! What an exciting experience for your students!

The schedule of the day:

10:00 AM	Visiting bands arrive at Towson University, unload, and prepare for rehearsal.
10:30 AM	Rehearsal and run through.
12:30 PM	Eat lunch, change into uniforms on buses, and line up to enter the stadium.
2:30 PM	All visiting bands are seated inside Johnny Unitas Stadium.
3:00 PM	Football game begins.
Halftime	Massed band performance including your students!
6:30 PM	Visiting bands depart for home.

If you're interested, here's what to do:

1.	Complete the registration form as soon as possible.
2.	About September 1st, you will be contacted for approximate numbers of instrumental parts.
3.	Soon after we receive your instrumentation, you will receive music for the two selections the massed band will perform.
4.	On September 21st, you will be contacted for final numbers of students, adults, and vehicles.
5.	You must prepare the music with your students in advance of September 27th and appear in full band uniforms for the performance. No need to memorize music! Flip folders work great!

There is an exciting atmosphere here at Towson University. The marching band is growing by leaps and bounds, the football team is becoming successful in the highly competitive Colonial Athletic Association, and Johnny Unitas Stadium provides a fantastic venue for athletes, performers, and spectators. Our first 3 years have been a great success! I'm looking forward to an even "bigger and better" band day for this year! The Towson University TIGER Marching Band plays exclusively on Yamaha brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments.
