On November 26, 2009 The Towson University TIGER Marching Band will perform in the 83rd Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. The TIGER Band is the only university band in the nation performing in this year's parade. The band is composed of over 230 members coming from over 120 different high schools, from 12 different states, who study over 70 different kinds of majors. This is the bands first trip to New York and their first time in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Parade coverage will air live November 26, starting at 9 a.m. on NBC.
