Research Interests

  • Dr. Bassich's primary research interests are focused in the area of voice and speech symptoms associated with Parkinson's disease.  She is involved in clinical research and maintains currency in recent investigations of speech, voice and swallowing EBP in persons with Parkinson's disease.  She disseminates this information at invited workshops for professionals  (Springfield, MO Speech Language Hearing Association Annual Conference, Sept. 2010; Allied Team Training for PD, sponsored by the National Parkinson Foundation, Chapel-Hill, NC, March 2011 & Arlington, VA, March 2012) and at invited workshops for persons with Parkinson disease, Johns-Hopkins Movement Disorders Clinic, PD 201, Sept. 2011;  Martinsburg West Va.  Parkinson Support Group,  Nov. 2011).
