What is the procedure for posting to the Daily Digest?
To have a campus announcement placed in the Daily Digest, we recommend you send an e-mail with the specific information to your campus Daily Digest representative; a list of representatives is included below.
What do I include in the e-mail?
Your e-mail should minimally contain the following information:
- Your Full Name
- Name of the sponsoring organization
- Headline (the title of message or event)
- Group within the Daily Digest (select one)
- General Campus
- Faculty/Staff
- Students
Start Date for announcement to run
End Date for announcement to run (run length is limited to 7 days)
Content of the announcement
Contact information for people viewing the message to get more information (e-mail address, phone number, web URL address, etc.)
Proofing
Before you send a request to your representative for posting, proof it carefully to ensure it is free of errors, typos, and inaccuracies. The role of the Daily Digest representative is to ensure submissions meet the publication criteria established by their respective departments or divisions. They do not provide copy-editing services such as verifying facts, checking dates, correcting spelling and grammar, or expanding abbreviations. Ensuring "clean copy" is the responsibility of the person requesting the submission.

Points to Remember
- Contact your appropriate vice president's office for updated information on the name(s) of the Digest representative for your particular area.
- Messages can be added to the Digest queue weeks or months in advance - there is no need to wait until the last moment.
- To make a Web link or an e-mail address a hyperlink, or "clickable" in the Digest, just add "curly brackets" before and after the address. (i.e., http://www.towson.edu should be typed as {http://www.towson.edu} or ciat@towson.edu should be entered as {ciat@towson.edu} for the Digest to understand the link properly)
