Frequently Asked Questions

PeopleSoft

We now have an automated process for all students, faculty and staff to receive e-mail and PeopleSoft accounts.  Faculty/staff account information is forwarded to the Administrative Assistant in your department.  Once an account has been created, it can be activated online:

If you cannot activate your account, please contact the OTS Help Center at 410-704-5151.

I cannot access the information I need in PeopleSoft to perform my job.

In order to get a modification to your account, please complete a Request for Access to PeopleSoft form. Describe what you need in the Brief Statement of Needs box, have the form signed by your department head, and forward it to the OTS Operations Center for processing.  You will be contacted once the request has been processed.

I am a faculty member who has a PeopleSoft account but cannot see my class rosters.

Please contact the Administrative Assistant in your department.  They will verify that the Office of the Registrar is aware that you are teaching for the department so you can be connected to the Instructor/Advisor table for your course.  You can contact the Office of the Registrar at 410-704-2097.

I am a student who has an incorrect PeopleSoft role and cannot enroll in classes.

Please contact the Admissions Office (undergrad) or Graduate School (grad).  They must contact the appropriate OTS staff on your behalf to change the role.  Students cannot request role changes through the Help Center on their own behalf.

I am a TIMS user and my password is not working.

TIMS users must type their username in ALL CAPS.  Please contact the Center for Professional Practice at 410-704-3983 if you have problems.

My name has changed. How can I get my username in PeopleSoft/e-mail changed?

Because a name change is a legal matter, you must first contact Human Resources to have your records updated.  After HR has updated your records, please contact the OTS Help Center at 410-704-5151 to request a username change.

I attended Towson as a student but am now a faculty/staff member.

If you have attended Towson in more than one capacity, you will not be picked up in our automated process.  Please contact the Information Security Specialist at 410-704-2059 for assistance.
