Poster Presentation Templates
These PowerPoint templates can be used in the creation of posters that present your scholarly research. They include helpful hints, like the recommended size for type and images. Bring your completed posters to the faculty lab to be printed on our large format printer that prints up to 23.5 inches wide. The 2-piece poster is two pages that when printed will fit a space that is 8 feet wide by 4 feet tall. The 3-piece poster is three pages that when printed will fill a space that is 6 feet wide by 4 feet tall. Call us at x4-3546 for a customized template that matches the size guidelines provided by your conference coordinator.

Web Site Template
This Web template can be opened in FrontPage, where you can type in your information and create a scholarly Web site. Call us at x4-3546 for a customized template that matches your specific needs or if you have any questions.

Save the zipped file Faculty Web Template to your desktop and go through the following steps:

  1. Right click on the file webtemplate.zip and select Open with WinZip.

  2. When the WinZip menu opens, click on I Agree.

  3. Another window will open. Go to the top menu bar and select Actions and pull down to Select All.

  4. Click the Extract button at the top and when a new window opens, select where you would like to extract and save the files for the Web site template. Then click the Extract button.

  5. Go to the files you just saved and right click on the file welcome.htm and select Open With>Microsoft FrontPage.

  6. Now you can put your text and images into this file and the other template files and save them. When you are finished, refer to information on publishing your Web pages with FrontPage to upload your files to the Web.

Video Production Resources

    Bring this form to your video shoots and have your on-camera talent sign it. This gives you permission to use the video for broadcast, the Web or other forms of presentation.

    Use these terms and abbreviations for your storyboards and scripts.

     
  • Script Template (Word doc)
    This two-column, formatted template allows you to describe the audio, video and timing of your proposed video production simultaneously in one view.

     
  • Storyboard Template (Word doc)
    Print out this storyboard template, then illustrate your shot compositions and make notes for camera direction, action, video and audio.

    Review this checklist before beginning a video shoot.

     
  • Batch Capture Shot List (Excel doc)
    Use this formatted spreadsheet to mark MiniDV footage that you wish to capture for editing. When you are finished, Save As>Text (Tab Delimited). Note: you may need to press a "Display" button on your MiniDV camcorder to show the timecode on the screen, for which you'll use to mark MEDIA START and MEDIA END points.
