Objectives

After completing this session the participant will be able to:

·         Given background information, NAME words that should be avoided in writing ability statements and EXPLAIN why these words should not be used.

·         Given a topic or task, WRITE an ability statement.

·         Using the cognitive learning domain, EXPLAIN how the action verbs under each step assists one in sequencing instruction that builds on student’s previous learning.
