1. Department Head contacts the Office of Human Resources (OHR) to discuss changes in an employee’s job duties and responsibilities that may warrant a reclassification PRIOR to any discussion with the employee.
- Refer to University Policies and Procedures (policy under construction) for detailed guidelines and definitions
- If reclassification is a possibility, OHR will send Request for Classification form to Department Head
2. Department Head submits required forms to OHR.
- Complete Request for Classification and obtain necessary approvals
- Updated Position Description Form (links to Forms Repository)
- Updated Organizational Chart
3. OHR will notify Department Head of the status of the reclassification request.
4. Department Head will notify employee the status of the reclassification.
