Campus Safety

The safety of the campus community is the Towson University Police Department's first priority, and we are proud to boast one of the lowest per capita crime rates in the University System of Maryland.

To keep our students, faculty, and staff safe, we offer a campus escort service, operate an emergency text message notification system, and host blue light emergency phones.

Of course, campus safety starts with you, and we advise all members of the university community to review campus safety tips and watch our safety video.
