Trade Shops

Carpentry Trade Shop

The Trade Shops include the carpentry, electrical, auto, HVAC and paint shops.

The carpentry shop normally performs building maintenance projects to maintain building components and finishes to "as-built" conditions.  It also does minor construction and space alteration projects and cabinetry work on a reimbursable basis.

The electrical shop maintains the campus-wide electrical distribution system and the building electrical system.

The auto shop maintains the campus fleet vehicles and buses.

The HVAC shop maintains all building heating and cooling systems.

The paint shop maintains interior and exterior painted surfaces on a recurring and as-needed basis as maintenance funds allow.  Non-routine painting requests are handled on a reimbursable basis.  The paint shop extensively uses contract painters for large projects because of its limited staff.
