Traffic Updates
The ongoing campus construction projects often impact parking and transportation. We strive to minimize these impacts, but changes are inevitable. Please use this site to stay up to date with changes regarding access and availability of parking resources and shuttle services.
Parking
Lot 9A
Approximately mid-June through mid-August lot 9A will be closed due to Burdick pool renovations.
Union Loading Dock
Beginning Monday, June 1, a minimal amount of renovations will be completed in the Union loading dock. The loading dock will continue to be accessible during the renovations.
Linthicum Lot 5
As communicated previously due to CLA construction, handicap parking will be permanently lost in Lot 5. Glen Drive Lot 2 will become the primary handicapped parking for the core campus. During the construction for Lot 2, temporary handicapped parking will be available in Lot 6A.
There will be no access to Lot 5, including Para-transit access. Para-transit will utilize the most accessible roadways.
Glen Drive
Beginning Friday, May 1, the visitor spaces to the south side of Stephens Hall on Glen Drive will be converted to handicap parking. The only remaining visitor spaces will be in the parallel spaces across from Stephens Hall and behind Smith Hall. Renovations beginning Monday, June 1 will include modifications to the walking paths in order to provide ADA compliant paths.
Lot 6A and Lot 2
Beginning this summer, additional handicap spaces will be temporarily added to lot 6A. The additional spaces are temporary while work is completed at Glen Drive.
University Union Garage
Saturday, August 1 to Friday, August 21, Union garage and lot 11A will be completely closed for renovations.
Transportation
West Village Emerson Road
Due to construction of the new Common’s building beginning this fall, the Gold Route will not serve Millennium Hall or Towson Run during the day. The shuttle will stop on Osler across from Enrollment Services. The shuttle will serve Towson Run after 6 p.m.
