Special Programs
The following groups are eligible to obtain access to other parking areas and/or receive a reduced rate for permits. An individual's full time status takes priority over any other status. Students eligible for special group permits must provide documentation of their status/participation in the program.
The following groups are eligible for other access and/or reduced rates:
- Residence Life Coordinator Spouses and Significant Others
Upon receipt of official documentation from Residence Life, individuals will be eligible to purchase a "Resident Life" permit at the lowest Faculty/Staff rate. Permits must be purchased in person at the Auxiliary Services Business Office.
- Graduate Assistants with a 20+ hour contract
Upon receiving official documentation from the Graduate Assistant program, individuals will be eligible to purchase a Faculty/Staff permit at the lowest Faculty/Staff rate. This includes Graduate Assistants with two 10 hour contracts within the same semester. If your on-line parking account has not been updated, you must bring official documentation of your contract(s) to Parking & Transportation Services located in the Union Garage in order to have your account updated. Once updated, you will be able to purchase your permit on-line through the e-Parking link.
- Alumni & Burdick Fitness Members
Upon verification of status, individuals will be eligible to purchase an Overflow permit at half the regular Commuter rate. Permits must be purchased in person at the Auxiliary Services Business Office.
Upon presentation of a Golden ID card, individuals will be eligible to purchase an Overflow permit at half the regular Commuter rate. Permits must be purchased in person at the Auxiliary Services Business Office.
Students involved in the following programs will be required to provide proof they have obtained a parking permit from their home institution.
Individuals must provide verification of status and proof they have obtained a parking permit from their home campus. IIR participants are then eligible to obtain a Commuter permit at no cost. If a TU Username and password have been established, students may obtain their parking permit online through the e-Parking link. If no TU Username or log on information has been established, students will need to visit the Auxiliary Services Business Office located in the University Union.
- Joint MBA Program students
Upon receipt of official documentation from the Joint MBA program, participants are then eligible to obtain a Commuter permit at no cost. If a TU Username and password have been established, students may obtain their parking permit online through the e-Parking link. If no TU Username or log on information has been established, students will need to visit the Auxiliary Services Business Office located in the University Union.
