Go Green

As a community of lifelong learners, leaders and innovators, Towson University recognizes that environmental issues are some of the foremost concerns of our time. Topics such as energy consumption, solid waste production and global warming are shaping political and academic discourse and changing the way we travel, eat and live.
Towson University has long been dedicated to enriching the future of our community and the environment we live, work, and learn in. We are committed to improving our campus and the greater community by limiting our total energy use by employing sustainable building design, construction and operations; minimized waste production achieved through reduce, reuse and recycle programs; and the promotion of responsible environmental stewardship.
We strive to build awareness and promote sustainability, and we challenge our students, faculty and staff members to do the same. By utilizing one of our blue recycling bins, assisting in one of our energy reduction programs, or participating in one of our recycling initiatives we can make the campus a cleaner and more sustainable place to live, work and learn. The world won’t wait for you to get involved. Go green today.
