PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION SERVICES

Student Permit Rates 2012 - 2013

Permits must be purchased online.  All vehicles parked on campus must be registered to a valid TU permit or park at a paid meter during restricted hours.  No warnings.

  • The Virtual Permit System is currently being utilized..
  • Permits must be purchased online.  Be certain to register your vehicle(s) license plate information when you are purchasing your permit.
  • Freshmen and non-degree commuter students can purchase the "Overflow" permit via TU's parking web site.
  • 2011-2012 permits are valid until August 31, 2012.
  • 2012-2013 permits go into effect August 20, 2012.

Minimester - students may purchase a fall semester permit at the pro-rated amount.
Summer Permits - students may purchase an annual permit at the pro-rated amount.

*Note:  Annual permits will be sold at a pro-rated amount for the spring semester.  Permits are pro-rated on a weekly basis.  As such students who purchase their permits in December for the spring will pay a higher rate than those who choose to wait and purchase their permit in January just prior to the start of the spring semester.  Fall permits are valid through January 31, 2013. 

Hybrid Permit Program

As part of Towson University's Go Green initiative, Parking and Transportation Services is offering a hybrid vehicle permit program.  Eligible faculty, staff and students who drive hybrid vehicles can purchase an annual parking permit at half of the applicable rate. To participate, click the link below and submit the completed application to Parking and Transportation Services.

 

Graduate Assistant Permit Rates

Students must have a full-time, 20-hour graduate assistantship or two 10 hour assistantships to apply for a faculty/staff permit.  Upon verification of the graduate assistant’s status, they are eligible to purchase a faculty/staff permit at the lowest Faculty/Staff rate.  Please see rates under the faculty/staff section.

Pro-Rate Permit Cost and Refunds

No refunds will be processed for Annual permits after March 31st or for semester permits after November 30th.  Rates below are estimates only.  Actual rates/refunds are based on the date the permit is purchased or returned to the Auxiliary Services Business Office.   Please contact the Auxiliary Services Business Office for summer rates.
